We’re Live! (On Ares)

Worshippers of the riff,

It is with the greatest pride that today we bring you our new album, Life On Ares. We have poured our hearts and souls (and also thousands of liters of beer) into making this record and today we’re sending it off into the aether for it to brave the perils of space-time and make its journey right into your very ears.

Our Eternal Gratitude belongs to all those involved in the creation of Life On Ares:

Marius Ley and Alberto De Icaza for their adamant perseverance, Benni Landmann and Victoria Schaffrath for lending us their Magic, Solomacello for Adding color to sound, Timon Menge for his iron fist, Todd Severin and the entire team at Ripple Music for paving the way, and you, our fans, friends, and families for your unwavering love and support.

(And also the good folks over at Jackalope Spaceways for their blatantly inadequate safety procedures.)

Now without further ado: Strap on your intergalactic safety belts, start up the engines, kick in the Warpdrive, and enter the Wormhole!

Ready? Set. BLAST!

Thank You, Wacken!

Holy axe-throwing angels of mercy, what a weekend!

We truly had the time of our lives at our very first Wacken Open Air this Saturday and just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the beautiful people – in front of the stage and behind it – making this weekend the magnificent maelstrom of music and mayhem it was! Having come down with a bad case of festival fever, we can’t wait to hit Trafostation 61 this coming Sunday and hope to return to the holy grounds of Wacken for an encore of epic proportions next year!

Until then, stay tuned for more Life On Ares coming your way and ride on!

Love, Plainride

Life On Ares is coming!

We’re psyched to announce that our new album Life On Ares is coming to you via Ripple Music and will hit planet Earth on September 21st!

It was recorded at Hydra Lab studios in the heart of Cologne, mixed and mastered by interdimensional sound engineer Alberto De Icaza (Clutch, Crobot), and embellished with the galactic art of Milan-based space-prodigy SoloMacello!

Fuzz Yeah, we’re playing Wacken!

Aloha, fellow Jackalope Riders!

Big news: In an unexpected turn of events, your favorite Fuzzfiends (that’s us [we hope]) will hit the stage at the legendary Wacken Open Air this year! We repeat: Wacken Open Air. W:O:A. Wacken. WACKEN.

“It is currently considered the biggest heavy-metal festival in the world” – Wikipedia

Yupp that’s the one. So yeah. Guess this is happening then. How awesome is this. Can’t begin to describe. Better get to rehearsing now, hehehe.

See you on the road, people!

P.S.: They have a beer-pipeline!!!

Man Chu need to see this

Heavenly angels of the blazing desert, what a show!

With the dust having settled over the carnage that was our Fu Manchu support gig and our livers duly recovered, at last we feel up to getting back in front of an electronic device (instead of having one hanging around your neck and furiously striking it to blast mean riffs into a crowd of what must’ve been 500 people) in order to bring you word of our insane night at Cologne’s Bürgerhaus Stollwerck last weekend.

It may come to a surprise to you given our good looks and overall very professional-looking appearance, but this has been our biggest show to date and we have to admit we’re the tiniest bit proud to say that it was a total blast on all accounts. As far as our adrenaline-drenched memory of that night is concerned, that is (he he he). Not only did we get to share the stage with one of the (if not THE) Stoner / Desert Rock™ band(s) out there and a bunch of personal heroes of ours but we were lavishly treated to a great welcome and overall amazing help by the entire local and touring crew as well as of course a killer crowd of beautiful, bearded and/or long-haired people that we hope are 100% sure had just as much of a ball as we did!

All in all: 13/10, would fuzz out with again!

Last but not least, check out Metal-Heads.de for a German review and full image gallery of the show!
